The District Armed Reserve, Chittoor consists of 18 Platoons including Head quarters Platoon. Which was sanctioned by Govt of A.P Vide G.O. Ms.No.163, Home (SER-III) Dept. Dt: 23-06-2010 and Sri City strength was sanctioned by Govt. of A.P Vide G.O.Ms.No.246 Dt.22.12.2016.

Armed Reserve general will work under the guidance of one Reserve Inspector (Admin) who will look after deployment. • District Security Wing - which will provide PSOs to VIPs in the district • Bomb Disposal Team • Motor Transport works under one Sub-Inspector Rank Officer • Unit Welfare - one Reserve Inspector will look after welfare of Police, maintenance of Hospital and others under direct supervision of SP
