The Dormitory is situated at DPO Premises and it was renovated during the Year 2008 by providing 25 Nos. Iron Cots with Beds & Pillows for the convenience of the Police men who come to District Head Quarters, Chittoor on Official duties and charging Rs.15/- per day. One T.V. and One Carom Board, Water Dispensary, One Plastic Dining Table with Stools have been provided.
Sujala Mineral Water Plant was inaugurated on: 21-07-2014 About 14,000 Ltrs. Of purified water is being supplied to 848 Police personnel including Retired Police officers & men and other departments like Fire service, Sub Jails, Excise, Railways, Judicial, Revenue, Forest and Treasury etc. 25 Ltrs. Of water is being supplied in a can to each consumer on alternate days and Rs.50/- per head per month is being collected through Salary or by hand. Out of 868 Consumers, the Water Cans are being supplying for 429 Consumers through auto and collecting an amount of Rs.100/- from each consumer per month towards Auto charges and supplying for 419 consumers from Sujala plant and collecting an amount of Rs. 50/-.
Chittoor District Police personnel have registered L.P.G Gas agency under mutually aided Co-Operative Societies vide Rc.No.CTR/04/01/1801 and was inaugurated Gas Godown on 27-01-1997 at SPs Camp office compound, Chittoor Under Licence.No.AP/294/LPG, Dt:27-09-2011 (No.G/SC/AP/06/294) (Gas Cylinders Rules-2004) valid up to 31-09-2017. The LPG Godown is being supplying Bharat Gas Cylinders to the Police personnel of Chittoor district non Subsidiary Cylinder Cost of Rs 620/- on cash.
A medical clinic has been opened at P.G.R. Police lines, Chittoor during the year 1991 for the welfare of Police families and their children. The Welfare hospital is Three women home guards. Equipment like E.C.G. Machine, Calorie Meter, V.D.R.L. Rotator etc are available in the Hospital. About 25 to 30 patients are being treated in the Police Welfare hospital everyday. A sum of Rs.20/- per head is being recovered from all the AR Personnel (Both men and Officers) and Civil men and officers, working in Chittoor town. Health Cards were supplied by affix photo’s of families
At present Two Police Family Welfare Tailoring Centers are functioning One at P.G.R. Police Lines and another at J.K.Palli Police lines. The Tailoring centers are maintained by trained ARPC 411 with the assistance of Two (2) Home Guard Tailors. At present, 1 Embroidery Machine and 20 Sewing Machines are available in above two Tailoring Centers.
A flour mill has been installed in AR Top lines, Chittoor at a cost of Rs.4,000/- sanctioned by the DG & IGP, A.P., Hyderabad. One AR PC 2375 Srinivasulu is maintaining this flour mill.The monthly collection through the flour mill is about Rs.3,000/- to 3,500/- and the expenditure per month is Rs.4,500/- police families are utilized and Benefited with cheaper rates.
As per the instructions issued vide Lr.No.DA-VII/CPC/2012/8088, Dt:04-04-2012 from DIG/CEO-cum-GM, CPC, MHA, New Delhi and Chief Office Note Rc.No.285/VI/2012, Dt:03-05-2012. Opened Central Police Canteen by the Director General of Police, A.P. Hyderabad at Old DPO, Chittoor. We are supplying the domestic items to all Police Officers & Men in service, Ministerial Staff, Retired & Deceased and also Home Guards of Chittoor District.
